2013 SPAA Conference - Melbourne

Harin Wijenayake, Marketing Manager

Both Cleardocs and the Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting team shared a booth at the 2013 SPAA (SMSF Professionals’ Association of Australia Limited) SMSF national conference which was held in Melbourne over 13-15 February.

The SPAA conference is one of the biggest industry events in the year with over 1400 delegates from all corners of the country attending to undertake professional development, hear guest speakers addressing topical issues – practise management techniques, legislation changes etc and of course, to network with their peers.

We, enjoy having this opportunity to meet our valued customers face to face. It gives us an opportunity to answer any queries that they might have and get any feedback about our products and services and also discuss upcoming products that customers have been asking for.

It’s also great to meet customers that want to meet Belinda, our main Customer Support person, to thank her for her ongoing assistance over the phone when they require help – apologies that Belinda couldn’t be there in person, we’ll try and get her to attend the next one.

The most frequently asked questions over the three days was “are your SMSF Borrowing (bank) documents accepted by the big four banks?” the answer to that is “yes” – St George, Westpac, NAB, ANZ, CBA and Macquarie bank. The other common was and always has been, since I’ve been with Cleardocs “why are your documents so cheap?” – apart from ASIC fees increasing over the years, Cleardocs has not increased the pricing structure for our documents since Cleardocs began over 10 years ago. It’s our way of looking after our loyal customers.

Overall, we received positive feedback on our products and service from a number of our customers including people that haven’t used us but have used our website for research and are now looking to become a customer.

Cleardocs welcomes our new customers from the SPAA conference and we look forward to seeing everyone again at the 2014 SPAA conference.
