Cleardocs documents now available in PDF

Belinda Thalakada, Customer Support

Great news. We've made creating documents online with Cleardocs even easier and more secure. Your Cleardocs documents will now be sent to you in a PDF file. This change means that:

  • you’ll no longer need to repaginate (ctrl+A, then F9) your documents before you print them;
  • you no longer need Word to access your documents, all you need is any PDF reader which is free of charge (we recommend Adobe);
  • Mac users will have a better experience; and
  • you can now view your documents via a mobile device.
You need not do anything to activate the change in file format. All settings relative to this change have been configured directly through the Cleardocs interface – all you need to do is enjoy the added benefits the change will bring to your Cleardocs experience.

Professional users who prefer downloading their documents in Rich Text Format (or 'rtf' file) can change their preferred document format within their Cleardocs account. Just log into your Cleardocs account, click on the “My Profile” tab, scroll to the bottom of the page and select ‘RTF’ as your preferred document format. Once you click 'Save' all your documents will be rtf files.
